Swiss-tent camping in the dunes at Sam, 45 km one way from Jaisalmer city centre, with folk music, camel riding and a Rajasthani buffet under the open sky.
The dunes are an evening, not a detour.
Most guests leave in the late afternoon, ride out for the light, eat dinner while the folk performance runs, and either drive back to the city or sleep in a tent. Both work. The camp is at Bhati Desert Camp, Sam, Salkha.

Desert nights get cold from November to February. Bring a jacket even if the afternoon was hot.

There is a shorter version: the daily evening celebration at Sam, about six hours, with camel riding, folk dance and music, snacks and a Rajasthani buffet dinner. Ask us for the current rate when you enquire.
